What Makes Up a Load of Semen?

Performer5

If you want to increase ejaculation volume, then it helps to first understand where your semen loads are coming from.  Semen is primarily made up of two different components: sperm and seminal fluids.

Sperm Production
In an average load of semen, there is usually about 40-200 million spermatozoa.  Surprisingly, a significant percentage of sperm are dead or unhealthy in each load.  In a “normal” sperm count, only about 75% of the sperm will be alive.  Even though there are so many sperm in each ejaculation, sperm only makes up a small part of each load: approximately 2-5%.

Sperm is produced in the testes of men.  During ejaculation, it will go up through other ducts and glands, mixing with seminal fluids along the way.

Seminal Vesicles
After your sperm leaves the testicles, it will go up through the seminal vesicle.  This vesicle is what gives your semen load its largest volume: about 65-75% of each load.  The fluids produced here are usually a yellowish color and have a gel-like consistency.  They are made up of amino acids, enzymes, protein, vitamin C, and even sugar in the form of fructose (provides energy for your sperm).  If you have a deficiency in any of these nutrients, you will produce less seminal fluid.  That is where Performer5 can help.

Prostate
After mixing with seminal fluids, your sperm will mix with fluids from the prostate. This makes up the next most amount of your semen load: about 25-30%.  The fluids from the prostate are white or clear in most cases. Here, you will also find lots of various nutrients such as enzymes and citric acid.  The most important nutrient in prostate seminal fluid is zinc.  Without zinc, your sperm will not be able to stay stabilized and will become very fragile – and you will also produce less fluid.  By taking a zinc-based supplement like Performer5, you can boost your seminal fluid production drastically.

Bulbourethral and Urethral Glands
Finally, your sperm will mix with the fluids from these two glands. The main purpose of these fluids is thought to be for lubrication though it could also impact fertility by containing certain antibodies.  The seminal fluids here account for less than 1% of an entire semen load so they are not as important for volume.

Nutrients in Semen

Most men are surprised to hear how many nutrients are in their semen load – even though there are plenty of jokes about the protein content of semen and so forth.  All of these nutrients are crucial for human reproduction because they keep sperm alive and also help with fertilization.  By increasing these nutrients in your body, you can drastically increase your semen production.  When you have more semen, you become more fertile and also have better, longer-lasting orgasms. Performer5 is a specially formulated supplement for male health which contains all the nutrients you need to improve semen production.
